Eastern Shore of San Francisco: An Ever-Changing Zone

Join me at the Bayview Boat Club (if you’re a member! or get invited by one) for a presentation covering the long history of the eastern shoreline of San Francisco. Historic photos and maps start long before urbanization and take us to the present, with many surprising stops in between. Industrial sites and military bases, shifting shorelines, landfill and hill carvings, successive uses of the tidal zone over years as it became hardened and “permanent,” (even if we know it’s going to be changing again in the years ahead).
