Presidio Natural Heritage Dialogue

Presidio Trust Headquarters, 103 Montgomery Street, Presidio of San Francisco

From sand dunes and grasslands to eucalyptus and cypress groves, the natural heritage of the Presidio is as diverse as the people who have lived here.

Natural heritage and environmental specialists Chris Carlsson (Shaping San Francisco, Found SF), Anthony Khalil (Community Educator from Literacy for Environmental Justice), and Lisa Wayne (Natural Areas Manager at San Francisco Recreation & Parks) respond to the question Considering nature in an urban setting, what role does culture play in our natural heritage? Following their brief responses the floor will be open to the audience to share their thoughts, opinions, and responses.

Moderated by Damien Raffa, Environmental and Outdoor Education Program Manager, The Presidio Trust.

This program is part of Welcome to the Presidio: Presidio Milestones + the Next Chapter, a new exhibit on the Main Post. The exhibit shows visitors a glimpse of the Presidio’s past, present, and future.
