“Ten Years That Shook the City” 1.5-hour Walking Tour of the Mission
Following the audio tour created in conjunction with the “Ten Years That Shook the City: San Francisco 1968-78” book, we’ll start at the BART plaza west of Mission at 16th, and take a nice long walk through the neighborhood, stopping six times in an hour and a half to hear authors reading excerpts from articles describing events that took place in that decade in locations that are now much different. We’ll end up at Precita Park below Bernal Heights, south of Cesar Chavez Street.
